If your coefficient is negative, choose the "-" where you see the pull-down with "+" currently selected. Then hit solve, and your two solutions will be presented to you. If either or both of your solutions are imaginary numbers, they will be presented in the form a + bi, where a is the real portion, b is the magnitude of the imaginary portion, and i is equal to the square root of negative one.
